So, the other day I was dancing around on
Wikipedia and thought, "Hey, let's see what comes up when I put 'Pierson' in to search for!" So, I did this and found out about
this guy, Abraham Pierson, the founder of Yale University. I did some further checking and found out about some great websites that among the information they provide, like
name origins and
family histories, there might be a potential "link" to the Abraham Pierson line via a
decedent ending up in Ohio around the same time one of our ancestors was in Ohio.
When I chatted with Dad about this and asked if there was a "Pierson" in Ohio in the mid to late 1800s he said yes. However, I think he might have been confused because I haven't been able to find a Pierson there but a Williams/
Merriweather there at that time. So, I was wondering what you guys think and if we could all together work on this link. Perhaps the links in this entry can help. Make it a point to read
this one and tell me exactly how much this description sounds like us (start reading at "as a race...")!
Wouldn't it be cool to be related to the founder of that great institution?!
Let me know what you think!!
